Will you host my new website?
Yes. Our MavenCare website plans cover the cost of website hosting on safe and reliable dedicated servers. We also regularly backup your website and keep your software up-to-date to avoid security breaches. We use a top tier hosting provider, Liquid Web, that has ranked higher than Amazon, Rackspace and DigitalOcean in performance for the last three years in a row.
Do you provide a domain name for my website?
Yes. We can purchase and cover the annual cost (up to $25) of one available domain name for as long as you are in a MavenCare website agreement. If you already have a domain name, we recommend leaving it where it is and we will take care of pointing it to our servers when your new website is ready to go live.
I already pay for website hosting. Can I keep hosting my new site with that company?
Website speed, security, and performance are critically important to us. For this reason, we will not install your new website on any other server. However, once your new website is live on our server, you can cancel your current hosting plan if it doesn’t have any other websites or email connected to it. If you have specific questions about our servers and hosting, please ask.
What happens at the end of the 18-month agreement?
Once your 18-month agreement is complete, you own your website and all of it’s content. Most of our clients choose to continue with one of the renewal options.
Although we would never want to lose you, at the end of 18-months you have the option to move your site to another company or host provider. We’ll provide you with a backup file that contains your entire website.
Can I upgrade my monthly plan in the middle of my 18-month term?
Yes, you can upgrade, however, because we distribute the cost of your initial website design, development, and included features for your particular plan over 18 monthly payments, we would retroactively replace your entire plan with the upgraded plan price.
Can I cancel or downgrade the agreement before the end of 18 months?
There’s no option to cancel or downgrade the agreement early. This is because we distribute the cost of your initial website design and development (in addition to the unlimited changes, hosting, and backups) over 18 monthly payments, and most of the design and development happens at the beginning of the agreement term. However, you’re welcome to pay off the total amount of the agreement at any time and we will honor our commitment to provide our promised services for the remainder of the 18 months.
If I don’t need all the features in the basic plan, do I get a discount?
Our basic plan is specifically designed to make a professional website affordable and manageable for small business owners, so we do not have a discount. You may decide to not use all the features in the basic plan at the beginning of your new site, but if you need to add others later during the 18-month agreement, it's included.
Do you provide email addresses?
Because of the increasing complexity and requirements of email, we do not offer email addresses at this time. We recommend using a dedicated email service such as Rackspace or Google’s G Suite for your organization’s email addresses. However, we will setup the necessary MX records to make your email addresses work with the outside email service of your choosing.
Is the StoryBrand® Marketing Strategy included in your website plans?
We use the StoryBrand® Framework to create deliverables such as a brand script, web page wireframe with written content, elevator pitch, one liner, and tagline. This content and message development is priced separately from the monthly website plan pricing.

Can I pay by check?
We don't take check payments. All invoices require payment by credit or debit card. For the MavenCare website plans, a monthly auto pay will be set up for the duration of the contract period.
How long will it take to build my website?
The development time varies depending on which MavenCare website plan you choose. Our general time frame is about six weeks for BASIC websites and 10 weeks for PRO websites. All time frames depend on the complexity of features and your responsiveness.
How soon can we start?
Project start times vary based on our current project load. We will go over this on our initial consultation and see if our timelines are suitable for you.
How long does it take for you to make changes to my website?
After your website is live, basic updates and content revisions will be completed within five business days. All update requests are submitted via email unless otherwise arranged. New pages and features take longer depending on the complexity of the request. For more detailed information about revisions, see our turnaround times.
Is there a limit to the amount of changes?
There’s no limit. You can request as many basic changes as you’d like within the turnaround times. New feature requests are limited to the plan that you are on.
Can I make changes to my website?
Yes. We build every website using Joomla! and we can make it easy for you to login and make changes to your website. However, some changes are more difficult than others, and while we do provide instructional videos for certain features, we DO NOT provide website training. We do offer UNLIMITED CONTENT CHANGES as part of all of our MavenCare website plans.
